PASTORAL STAFF
Pastor Jack Zimmerman
Interim Senior Pastor
Jack was assigned on Monday, April 27, by the District Superintendent, Dr. Brad Estep, as an interim senior pastor until the congregation can vote on a new senior pastor. He is a Messianic Rabbi and Pastor who came to faith in Yeshua in 1988. He is the founding Rabbi of Tree of Life Messianic Congregation in Phoenix, Arizona, and has extensive experience in teaching Jewish history and Biblical studies.
Pastor Jerimee Aaron
DIRECTOR OF TEMPE CHRISTIAN PRESCHOOL
Jerimee Aaron has been an integral member of Tempe Nazarene since 1995, contributing his expertise in various ministry capacities throughout his tenure. Presently, he holds the position of Director at Tempe Christian Preschool.
Beyond his professional commitments, Jerimee dedicates his leisure time to a range of activities. He indulges in culinary endeavors, hosting gatherings for his loved ones, and finds joy in playing the piano. Additionally, he's an avid builder, finding creative expression through constructing with Legos. Jerimee's passion for quality family time is evident in his visits to Disney with his loved ones.
Pastor Debbie Hallman
Children's Ministry & TCP Assistant Director
Pastor Debbie is a fixture in our young children's lives. They know her office door is always open so they can get a hug or share their victories and challenges. She teaches kids that God knows and loves every single one of them. They see that love in action because Debbie knows the name and circumstances of every child. She directs all children's activities from birth to sixth grade and she's the Director of Tempe Christian PreSchool.
Debbie exudes incredible energy and a positive attitude, which have helped her while teaching VBS, Sunday School, summer camps, and Camp Meeting. She has completed her Associate of Science degree in Early Education. She's s been a part of our TNC family since 1983 and the Children's Ministry Pastor for over two decades.
Debbie and her husband Van were married in 1977. They have five children and ten grandchildren, all of whom are well loved.
REv. Denise Burns
Connections Pastor
Denise, who grew up at TNC, has a rich family history in ministry, as both a pastor's child and grandchild (twice over). She even married into a family with a similar background. Her journey into becoming a pastor herself began after some years teaching middle school. Now, she's the proud parent of five kids, all pastor's children, reflecting her deep love for God and His children.
She's been happily married to Steve since 1973 and has a strong passion for teaching and actively engaging with the Tempe community. In her spare time, you'll find her engrossed in a good book, strumming the ukulele, honing her guitar skills, and expressing herself through painting.
Denise firmly believes that everyone has a unique story to share, and she's always eager to hear yours!

Administrative Assistant
TNC and TCP have been a part of my life since the late 60s when my family arrived in the Valley. I met and married my husband, Ralph, at TNC. We have two sons and two wonderful (aren’t they all) grandchildren. I’ve had the privilege of being involved in various ministries at TNC, including Caravan, Healthcare Ministries, NMI, and the TCP board. My careers have been as an administrative assistant/support staff in the banking industry and as a REALTOR®. I’m happy to be an administrative assistant for the church and school. The Lord has guided me this far, and I will follow wherever He leads.
RALPH Messner
Interim Administrative Assistant, AV & IT Director
Ralph's involvement at TempeNaz began in the mid-1970s when he joined the choir and the young singles group. His contributions soon expanded into leadership and technical arts. He directed the choir and led worship from 1981 to 1984, and also started playing bass occasionally during the 1980s. During this era, he designed lighting while the church still gathered in the gym, later advising on the new theater lighting when the sanctuary was built in 1985. Ralph returned to direct the choir and lead worship from 1988 to 1992, continuing to step in during various other years as needed. At the dawn of the internet in 1996, he took the initiative to hand-code the church's first website, a role he managed diligently until 2009.
In addition to his creative and technical ministries, Ralph has provided vital leadership by serving on the church board in the 1980s, 2010s, and 2020s. Today, he continues to be instrumental in managing the church's Audio/Visual resources, ensuring the seamless operation of these essential components. He also lends his 40 years of IT expertise to enhance the utilization of Information Technologies. This aligns seamlessly with his overarching mission of "By all means reach some." The interim role of Administrative Assistant is a new ministry for him, but God has provided before and He will provide now.
Ralph's personal life is deeply intertwined with this church community. He and his wife, Karen, first crossed paths at TempeNaz, and together they have raised two grown sons, one of whom is actively engaged in serving the church's outreach effort, The Table. This next generation of service is already taking root, as Ralph and Karen are proud grandparents to two grandsons.
TINA ANDERSON
FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR
Tina is the financial administrator for the church and school, as well as the AZ District Church of the Nazarene. She's in the office on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Tim Osborn
Facility Manager
Tim Osborn has been a faithful attender of Tempe Nazarene Church since 1989, always considering it his home church. Over the years, he has been actively involved in a variety of ministries, dedicating his time and effort to serving others and supporting the church community. He is married to Janessa Osborn (whom he met at TNC), and together they have one child, Olivia Osborn. In his current role managing the church facility, Tim takes great pride in creating a welcoming and well-maintained environment for ministry, events, and fellowship, and feels truly blessed to serve others in this way.
Church Board 2026–2027
Terms run from May to April, 2 to 3 years. NDI, NMI, and NYI Presidents serve ex officio. Only church board members will lead one of five committees: Finance, Facilities, Ministry, School, and Personnel. The Leads will choose their committee members.
