Introduction
1. Thank goodness for mothers who bare enough to:
  1. Lead Us
  2. Care for Us
  3. Challenge Us
  4. Love Us
Traits Of A Successful Mother
1. Sees Potential In Their Children
  
  (v. 23a)
  It was by faith that Moses’ parents hid him for three months when he was born. They saw that God had given them an unusual child… [emphasis mine]
  1. We tend to expect children to be miniature adults.
  2. We need to instill dreams of what they can be.
2. Are Selfless And Sacrificial
  
  (v.23b)
  …and they were not afraid to disobey the king’s command. [emphasis mine]
3. Impart Their Faith
  
  (v. 24)
  It was by faith that Moses, when he grew up, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter.
  1. Children need to know what the family believes.
  2. Survey of Values Taught by Parents
    1. Honesty—_______%

4. Enable Children To Be Strong
  
  (vs. 25–26)
  He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin.
  
  ²⁶ He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of Christ than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his great reward.
  1. They do it by training their children.
Conclusion
1. There is no more difficult job than being a mother.
