“Relationships Matter”

  1. Introduction
    1. Followers of Jesus are connected to relationships that accomplish God’s purpose in their lives.
  2. Three Relational Imperatives
    1. We Will Identify Models.
      1. Real followers remember their influencers.
      2. We identify those who connected us to God’s possibilities in our lives.
      3. God always connects those who are serious about their spiritual growth to another person!
      4. It is not enough to hear a concept, we need to see it demonstrated by someone in the faith.
      5. TRUTH: We cannot achieve holy living alone!
      6. All of us need people around us who give us vision for the future.
      7. TNC is a community of people who come together and lose themselves in God’s purpose for the world:

        To reach people for Christ by demonstrating His Love, Acceptance, and Forgiveness."

      8. Followers of Christ identify people who pull them forward.
    2. We Will Connect With Models.
      1. This means commitment.
      2. How do we develop this DNA?
        1. Be coachable.
        2. Allow ourselves to be led.
        3. Don’t take the resources God placed around us for granted.
    3. Finally, Realize That Every Believer is a Model.
      1. YOU are a role model for someone!
        1. People are watching you, depending on you and learning from you!
      2. You are the best thing of God that most people in your circle of influence will ever know!
      3. God’s plan is teamwork!
