- What Baptism Represents
- Water symbolizes that our sin has been washed away.
- Baptism models Christ’s death, burial and resurrection.
- As we come into the water, we acknowledge that we are dying to sin.
- As we go under the water, we acknowledge that we are burying our sin.
- As we rise out of the water, we signify the power of God to not only raise Jesus from the dead but to raise us to new life in Christ.
- The power that raised Jesus from the dead, is the same power that enables me to live free from the bondage of sin.
- Conclusion
- Every baptism is a re-enactment of Easter.
