“Love Conquers”

Build It Before It Rains Series
Romans 8:37–39 (NRSV)

  1. Introduction
    1. TRUTH: Things do not satisfy!
      1. We always want more
    2. Our culture is all about the individual.
      1. It is a me Culture
    3. We, the Church, need to pursue the only thing that really satisfies and that is Christ’s love.

      37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor rulers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, 39nor height, nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

  2. More Than Conquerors…
    1. In Our Homes
      1. We are not called to conquer but to love!
        1. Through loving we will be conquerors of their hearts!
    2. With Our Mates
      1. There are too many mates in competition with each other.
      2. Too many never knew or have forgotten that real love is seen in commitment to one another!
    3. With God
